Colossians, Chapter 3,  verses 12-17

1 Put On the New Self
12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness andk I.e. forbearance toward otherspatience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14 Beyond all these things put on love, which isl Lit the uniting bond of perfectionthe perfect bond of unity. 15 Let the peace of Christm Or act as arbiterrule in your hearts, to whichn Lit alsoindeed you were called in one body; ando Or show yourselves thankfulbe thankful. 16 Let the word ofp One early ms reads the LordChrist richly dwell within you,q Or inwith all wisdom teaching and admonishingr Or one another, singing with psalms...one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singings Or by; lit in His gracewith thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

Luke, Chapter 6,  verses 27-38

20 The Beatitudes
27 “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those whoo Or revilemistreat you. 29 Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away yourp I.e. outer garmentcoat, do not withhold yourq Or tunic; i.e. garment worn next to bodyshirt from him either. 30 Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. 31 r Lit Do toTreat others the same way you wants Lit peoplethem to treat you. 32 If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount. 35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend,t Or not despairing at allexpecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men. 36 u Or BecomeBe merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned;v Lit releasepardon, and you will be pardoned. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. They willw Lit givepour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”
