The idea that God should reveal His will to us, in order to know it (and it is necessary for us, because God is good, and only He knows what is good, and what is bad for us), is obvious. And further it would seem that everything is simple. Revealed - take and fulfill. But there is another problem here. Why have we decided that if God's will is revealed to us, then we are able to understand it? "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” (Isaiah 55:8). To know His will, we need capabilities exceeding our natural, and this can only be a gift from God. About this testifies today the wise biblical author (tradition puts up the authorship of this book to Solomon, the one who asked the gift of wisdom to God and received). But isn’t God's will manifested to us in the Holy Scriptures? Yes, but the Holy Scriptures are written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, thus it can be read only by accepting the Holy Spirit from above.
