King James Version (en)

Ephesians, Chapter 2,  verses 19-22

19 but as citizens with the saints, and the family of God
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Ephesians, Chapter 3,  verses 1-7

5 The hidden mystery, 6 that the Gentiles should be saved, was made known to Paul by revelation
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to youward:
How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

Luke, Chapter 5,  verses 12-16

12 cleanseth the leper, 16 prayeth in the wilderness
12 And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
13 And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
14 And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
15 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

NOTES

The apostles were certainly very fortunate. With their own eyes they saw...

In today's reading the apostle Paul answers everyone who, out of false modesty, claims that in the Church he is a small and out-of-place person, worthy of nothing, and in general...

In the episode of the healing of the leper, the most remarkable thing is the dialogue between Jesus and the man He healed...

FAQ

 Reading the parable of the "Good Samaritan", where Jesus teaches about love for one's neighbor, I do not understand who the neighbor is? Whom should we love — the one who helps us, even if he is of a foreign "nationality", like the Samaritan — or is it every person who surrounds us? Should we love people from the perspective of the Samaritan or from the perspective of the traveler robbed by bandits?

From a practical point of view, in the parable of the Good Samaritan, the most important thing is the distinction between what the scribe, who asks Christ about eternal life, understands by the word "neighbor," and what the Lord Himself understands...
