The Lord says that there is only one source of peace - hearken to the commandments. We look for peace, we want more that everything on earth comfort, the internal light … But for some reason it goes wrong all the time. Why? And here is why. Because it is necessary at first to listen to the Lord, to accept His teaching, because He teaches good, to obey and to walk by the way that He leads. And we hear in His voice an obvious pain: "O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments!" If only… if only we could lift up our eyes and look at Him, open our heart and accept His word …

It sometimes seems that in the Holy Scriptures God expects from us all the time unconceivable efforts, that we have to fight and work. We hear first of all in commandments what we do not have to allow ourselves, not always realizing, why. It turns out that our life owes a constant overcoming. Although it is sometimes like that, but only partially. God speaks about Himself through the mouth of the prophet Isaiah-" God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go." Each of us has his way, to find it by oneself is rather difficult, how then one can understand where it is, this road, in which we are called? And God lets us know that commandments are pegs indicating the edge of the way, protecting against the fall into the abyss. As the watersides of a plentiful river, giving it the direction, and protecting it so that it spreads not on the meadows and floods everything all around. According to the words of the prophet, our life can really become as such river, if we begin to believe in God and understand that commandments don’t limit our will, but just warn of the danger.

Speaking about the last Judgment,, the prophets, including Isaiah of Babylon, said many a time that in the day of this Judgment, before God will appear not only people, but also all the universe, all the world created by God. At first sight, this may seem a little bit strange: how can be judged a creature not possessing either will, or consciousness, or the understanding of what is accomplished and of what is happening? Probably, if God's Judgment did not go beyond the ordinary judgment of man, the way we judge the violators of the law on earth, the judgment " of the heaven and the earth" would have in reality no sense. But, as seen, God's judgment is similar, and not similar to the human judgment. Of course, God, quite as men, is capable of evaluating concrete acts committed by man, and then HE is capable of course of doing it in a more adequate way than any earthly judgment. Furthermore: He can evaluate not only the concrete acts of any person, but also the person as a whole,, what none of men can do by definition.

But God's judgment distinguishes itself from the earth judgment not only by the fact that in this judgment, man is evaluated in a absolutely adequate way, but also by the fact that the judgment fixes in itself a face to face meeting of man with God. Actually, such a meeting in itself is the judgment. And God during the face to face meeting with man wants not only to evaluate him or, especially, to condemn him, He wants to give to each the possibility of a new life in the Kingdom, transforming completely the human nature so that it becomes suitable for such a life.

Because, in the end of time, would inevitably be transformed all the nature, and not only the nature of man! It is for that probably, that "the heaven and the earth" come to the judgment: they are of course guilty of nothing, and there is no reason to judge them, but they are in need of the transformation of their nature, quite as each of us. And when the current stage of the world history will end, all the universe created by God will appear before the Creator as well as each of us. So that, having been transformed, become part of the Kingdom. Become that "new heaven" and that "new earth", which will see the inhabitants of the heavenly Jerusalem.
