The word "conversion" means not just the words "I am ashamed," but a complete turn, a change of life. It is not so easy to take such a step. One wants to, but has no strength... But in today's reading Jesus, son of Sirach, comforts us. It turns out that simply realizing that one can no longer live as before is already a beginning, already no small thing. And then He intervenes, if we want to change, if we call on Him. To the repentant He gives conversion. So the Lord can do what is impossible for us, if we sincerely want Him to begin acting in our life.
