King James Version (en)

Galatians, Chapter 2,  verses 16-20

14 why he and others, being Jews, do believe in Christ to be justified by faith, and not by works, 20 and that they live not in sin, who are so justified
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Luke, Chapter 7,  verses 11-16

11 raiseth from death the widow's son at Nain
11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

We all believe that the Lord, who created this world, has complete power over nature. That is as easy to imagine as an officer commanding...

Today we return again to such a fundamental concept as faith. In the Bible this word most often means not simply trust in some information, but...

Today, when the Church calls us to focus our prayerful gaze on the manifestation of the raising of the son of the widow of Nain...
