NOTES for Heb 3:1-6
Paul explains one of the fundamental differences between man and the Son of Man in today’s passage. The example of Moses, who became the leader of the people and received the tablets and the Ark of the Covenant, is vivid and persuasive. Here indeed is a man invested with authority, God’s trusted servant, yet not the master or builder of the house, but only its steward. Jesus, the Son of God, being at once perfect man and God, comes into the world as its sovereign master, because He created it.
