NOTES for Mat 11:19

This phrase very often rises up questions. There is another version of translation in English language: “Wisdom is justified by deeds”. As any translation, it proposes some ready interpretations – which can be possibly correct. But the ambiguity of the King James Version translation leaves a scope for reflections, what is not also bad.

If they are talking here about “sons”, that is about children of wisdom, since this is the way they call those who seek wisdom, who value it, who are involved in it in the language of the Scripture. The meaning of this phrase is then different: only such people are “sons of wisdom”, they can look into works and events that seem ordinary or even insane. Wisdom action is God’s action. Lets mention that , it doesn’t mean discrimination: as to say it is given to one people to see, and to others is not given. No! It’s given to those who search it!
