NOTES for Num 12:16; Num 13:1-33
At last Israel has reached the Promised Land, a land flowing with milk and honey. This land of freedom from slavery and fabulous abundance is an image of the Kingdom of Heaven, where life according to God’s truth bears astonishing fruit. How important is the resolve to reach this land! How important it is not to be frightened by possible obstacles and trials! With God’s help we can overcome everything, enter the land he has prepared for us, and find his love and blessing there. The one essential thing is to seek this Kingdom; without that, fears and difficulties will quickly break us.
