NOTES for Mar 6:30-44

“You give them something to eat!”—these words of Christ are addressed not only to the apostles two thousand years ago, but to every one of His disciples in every age. When we ask Him how He intends to care for the people He created, these are precisely the words He says to us. Of course, we will not have to perform miracles in His place—He will multiply both the bread and the fish. But this requires our participation, our readiness to come to the aid of those in need, comfort those who weep, and share love with those who lack it. God redirects to us all the baffled questions we address to Him: “You give them something to eat; you be My presence in this world; you become channels of My love...”
