NOTES for Num 28:1-31

In worship, people always seek to draw closer to God. And God responds to this desire: He gives Israel detailed rules concerning sacrifices and service at the altar. It is very important that He does not allow us to invent a cult for ourselves without His participation. Attempts to intrude into His mystery on our own will lead nowhere. God can reveal Himself only of His own accord. Therefore, all the hope of the Old Testament is directed toward the One who knows the Father and will reveal Him to those who believe in Him.
