NOTES for Deu 2:1-37

During their wanderings in the wilderness, the Israelites had to be guided by the word of the Lord in all their affairs and undertakings. By listening to His voice, they won victories over their enemies; conversely, disobedience led them to destruction. For us, as for ancient Israel, obedience to God is vitally important. Assenting to the Father's will leads us to true happiness and the fulfillment of our vocation.
