NOTES for Rev 12:7-17
The account of the heavenly battle in which Michael and his angels fought against the devil and the angels who side with him has always prompted many interpretations of what actually happened. How did Christ’s Incarnation change the course of life in the spiritual world? The apostle tells us that the devil was cast down to earth and then tried to destroy the Church on earth. When that too failed and the Church stood firm, every believer was placed in danger—everyone John calls those “who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
