NOTES for Co2 6:1-10
In very difficult circumstances, the Apostle Paul retains his presence of mind and remains faithful to the God who called him to ministry. Verses 3-10 are a hymn to missionary service. What is the source of his strength? Paul himself answers this question: “For He says, ‘In an acceptable time I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” The same power of faith can enable us to fulfill Christ’s commandments in the Sermon on the Mount, and it wells up within us as a prayer of praise like Psalm 97.
