NOTES for Rom 1:18-27
That the world was created is evident to anyone who does not set himself against God. In the Apostle Paul’s view, the very existence and splendor of this world bear witness to the greatness and goodness of the Creator. Refusing to accept this testimony leads to the most profound distortions in human nature and conduct (Rom 1:24-27). In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says that sin lies not merely in actions but in our thoughts, in the wounded state of our spiritual life; it is from there that our healing must begin.
