NOTES for Gal 6:1-10

At first glance, the passage is full of contradictions. But only at first glance, because, as always, every verse in Paul is logical and clear. The general rule is this: bear one another’s burdens, but each individual must attend to his own affairs, do his own work, and not demand that someone else carry his burden. Watch yourself, your words, and your deeds; and when correcting someone together with others, do so only in a spirit of gentleness. Watch yourself. A spirit of gentleness will not allow you to judge and accuse the people around you; you will not be able to think yourself something exceptional. And as you live each day in labor, bearing what the Lord has laid upon you, in a spirit of gentleness you will be able to help those around you.
