NOTES for Exo 29:19-46

The purification of the priests, the offering of the sacrifice for sin, the purification of the altar. And now, at last, the order of continual service appears. Every day lambs, flour, oil, and wine are offered in sacrifice. What the earth produces and what is obtained through labor becomes, morning and evening, thanksgiving for God’s presence. Scripture says more than once that the faithfulness of the chosen people must be everlasting. And God promises to reveal Himself to the people. God wants to be known, heard, and loved. He wants to dwell among human beings—and this becomes possible only through their consent.
