NOTES for Act 13:26-33
In today's reading from the Acts of the Apostles, we hear the apostle Paul say that Jerusalem failed to recognize its Messiah. How often we have heard that the scribes, the Pharisees, and all the Jews were certain that they awaited the Messiah's coming with joy and impatience. Then He came and was killed. It turns out that they were waiting for someone entirely different. What kind of God are we waiting for? Do we truly love the living God, or only our own idea of Him?
