NOTES for Rom 5:1-5
As always with the apostle Paul, this is a very concentrated text. We can outline several logical chains that are very important for Christian theology.
1) Spiritual ascent: faith - peace and grace - hope of glory - love.
2) The meaning of suffering: affliction - endurance - proven character - hope - love.
3) The Trinity: God the Father - the Son, Jesus Christ - the Holy Spirit.
There is much to think about. And all this in only two sentences!
