NOTES for Isa 41:13-20

The poor and needy seek water, and there is none... How much this resembles what happens to us. The tongue is parched with thirst, but there is no water... And one wants to ask angrily where God is and why He allows this... If we stop in time and phrase the question differently, we will receive an answer. He is here. He is near and waiting for us to open our heart to Him. But the offended inner voice continues: “Then why did He allow everything around us to become a desert?” The answer is simple. Because the human heart without God truly is a desert. Only if He enters will the desert become a beautiful garden.
