NOTES for Sol 6:13-8:14

The praise becomes mutual, which means that the bridegroom and the bride have finally met and been united. This means that our spiritual search will not remain fruitless either, and we will meet the Creator if we continue to strive toward the One who is always ready to meet us. If only we too are ready for that meeting.

A vineyard is mentioned more than once here, and now the bride is compared to one again. We can also remember the vineyard in which the owner hired laborers in the Gospel parables. This vineyard is with us; we are called not only to work in it, but also to live in it, and even more—to be branches of the true Vine.

At the end, the bride is called one who dwells in the gardens, and once again we remember the garden from which humanity was expelled and where the tree of life grows, with whose leaves the Lord at the end of time will heal the nations that have come to Him (Revelation 22:2).
