NOTES for Tit 1:1-9
We often want to create God in our own image and likeness. We project our own thoughts, feelings, and ideas onto Him. We reason that “God probably thinks this way”... Today, we might stop and rejoice that He is not at all like us... at least in one respect.
A person can give his word—but does he always fulfill his promises? A person can lie, change his mind, or discover that a promise is impossible to fulfill... But God is unchanging in His word. If He has said it, then it will be so (and already is so—in eternity). How good it is that He is not like us...
