NOTES for Isa 32:1-20
And once again Isaiah prophesies about the coming King-Messiah, who will establish His Kingdom, described by key words such as law, justice, righteousness, peace, rest, and security. Let us note a new condition in Isaiah for the coming of this Kingdom: "until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is deemed a forest" (v. 15). Further on, prophecies about the outpouring of the Spirit will multiply, until they begin to be fulfilled on the day of Pentecost after Christ's Resurrection.
