NOTES for HebĀ 3:7-19

Are guarantees granted to a believer for faith? Is someone who calls himself a Christian saved automatically? These questions are always discussed very heatedly and give rise to many versions. In today's passage the apostle Paul does not speak about works and faith. He puts forward one of the most important principles of salvation: obedience to the Holy Spirit. The absence of hardness of heart, of deafness of heart to the action of the Spirit within us, is one of the most important signs of the health of our faith. It is a sign of burning ardor, not lukewarmness. It is a sign of readiness to acknowledge Christ as King and God.
