NOTES for Exo 29:19-46
The cleansing of the priests, the offering of the sacrifice for sin, the cleansing of the altar... And at last the order of regular service appears. Every day lambs, flour, oil, and wine are offered in sacrifice. What the earth brings forth, what is gained by labor - all of this, morning and evening, becomes thanksgiving for God's presence.
Scripture repeatedly says that the faithfulness of the chosen people must be eternal. And God promises to reveal Himself to the people. He wants them to recognize Him, to hear Him, to love Him. He wants to dwell among people - and this becomes possible only through their free consent.
