NOTES for Php 2:12-18

Each of us has many tasks and duties. There are things we like, things we dislike, things we want to do, things we don't want to do... The Apostle Paul knew this no worse than you and I — he had to deal with the most diverse matters. What he tells us today is applicable to almost any situation: "Do all things without murmuring and doubting."

What, absolutely everything? Everything. If something needs to be done, there is no point in murmuring, or to put it simply — whining and complaining. If you are doing a task, do it. But what if you doubt whether it needs to be done? Choose: either you act, or you do not. To walk along a road and doubt whether it is the right one is pointless. Either walk, but then do not doubt, or stop and check the correctness of the path.
