And no one asks whether we agree or not. The Spirit blows where He wills. No one can tell Him where to go, how to act, where to breathe. No one has power over Him. Wherever He wills, there He manifests Himself. At times it appears that here, surely, He should manifest Himself; right now I personally need it very much. But in answer there is silence, because He is free, He is freedom itself. Without Him we would not even have known what it is, how it is possible to live when there are no strict rules and rituals, no obligation of "you to me, I to you." Of course it would be simpler and calmer if it were known exactly where, how, and for what price one can meet Him and receive what is desired. But then He would not be God.
