We already know that the Lord keeps faith with those He has chosen, even when they are unfaithful, but on that basis one should not grow calm and suppose that He is obligated to keep faith. No, His good will does not depend on our whims. He has the right to turn away from those who have turned away from Him. Neither belonging to a group that imagines itself privileged, nor traditions, nor scrupulous performance of rites detached from the essence of spiritual life will help or save. The Lord Himself saves. The prophecy reveals to us that the Lord can reveal Himself even to those who did not seek Him, and in this way He shows once more that no one has a right to privileges. They do not flow either from the length of one's "church experience" or from one's place in the hierarchy. Several centuries later, Christ will tell the parable of the workers of the last hour...

The first thing that comes to mind at the mention of the wolf and the lamb grazing together is that before us is a parable about the reconciliation of once deadly enemies. Yes, the Lord wants to establish His peace on earth, and such a reading is fair. But what if it does not exhaust the full meaning of the prophecy, and before us is an indication of a coming change in the character of living nature itself, that not only human society will be guided by different laws? For, in the apostle's words, "creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God" (Rom. 8:19)...

God opens through the prophet Isaiah a remarkable detail of his plan: He intends to continue His creation, these - earth and heaven are ephemera, this world will pass a certain way till the end, but life doesn’t stop on it. Indeed, if the ancient heaven and the earth will not be any more remembered, it means that there will be those who can remember or not remember.

Now a little about another thing. Why is it important that the former things will not come any more into the heart? We can remember of Lot’s wife (Genesis 19:26) or "looking back" (Luke. 9:62). When we pass from death to life, it is necessary to throw all which pulls us again back to death, it is necessary to hold in heart what is not ephemera - love - and " to close the heart " to the sin penetrating into this world. There is for this only one means, and the Gospel constantly reminds it to us, this means is forgiveness. Forgiving "every one that is indebted to us", we open the way for God's forgiveness to ourselves, this forgiveness, with which God erases our iniquities such that He remember of them no more. (Jeremiah. 31:34).

A few centuries before the first coming of Christ into the world, half-opens to the prophet Isaiah God's plan concerning the end of time. This world, which we know, created by God, is not yet definitive; it does not still correspond to the Creator’s words: "very good", of which we read at the beginning of the book of Genesis. Indeed, the Creation is distorted by the fall, is distorted such that "the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now." (Romans 8:22); but we can’t imagine ourselves another world. Throughout all the history of the humanity, God intervenes in its course, by finding people responding to His calls, and bringing God's truth into this life bogged down in sin. It is already a new Creation, because the world changes with God and will continue to change. God opens to the prophet that will come the day, when the glory of God will overcome, when everybody will be transfigured by the love of the Almighty. And for us this world will be new and infinitely beautiful. Almost the same words will repeat at the end of the book of Revelation (Revelations. 21:1) with the complement: " Behold, I make all things new" (Revelations. 21:5), - And it means that after God's definitive victory on evil, when this world will pass, when time will end , God will make something again, which is impossible to describe. We can say only one thing of this future world: there will be together - God and man.
