NOTES for Psa 122:6

How many times the Holy Scriptures connect God's blessing with the way the foreign relates to the nation, that He chose to bring all out of paganism captivity. Beginning with Abraham's blessing and up to Paul's epistles, the Bible teaches us to behave with gratefulness and devotion towards God's freedom to choose the way of salvation for all the humanity. In our secluded life, we are mostly disposed to see in those who didn’t accept the Christ, in the best case blind persons, and in the worst - murderers. But, if the nation, that waited for the Messiah during millenniums didn’t recognize Him, is it for the one who worshiped idols, gave human sacrifices and considered himself to be able of knowing good and evil, to do that? Our relationship to all those, who being sons of Abraham, brought to us the Good News about the Unique, can be only one: we have to bless them, we are obliged to ask for the peace of Jerusalem. Because rejecting them, we reject those, on whom was established the Church, we reject the Christ.
