NOTES for Mar 6:53-56

As soon as Jesus and the apostles arrived in the land of Gennesaret, crowds of people in need of healing came rushing to Him. The apostles were accustomed to such miracles and were no longer surprised by them.

We are amazed by a miracle when it surpasses our understanding of the world around us or of the One who performs it. Perhaps we know little of God if His actions are unexpected to us or if we respond to His works by asking, “How did He do that?” For everything God does is wondrous.
