NOTES for Amo 2:6-10
What is today's Old Testament reading about? An evil God? Or the fact that He cannot protect His people forever from the consequences of their own actions? How much this resembles us. We do whatever suits us. We stubbornly break His commandments. Then we sit down and say, "Why, why does He not help me?!" Let us think: do we leave any room for Him in our lives? And if not, where can He act?
