NOTES for Rev 14:1-5
The Apostle John tells us about an extraordinary song. It is a song that only the chosen can sing. And they are not those endowed with an exceptional voice or ear, but those who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. What is this song, why can not everyone learn it, and Who teaches it? It is, of course, prayer, and a special kind of prayer at that. We know that prayer can take different forms, and some of its forms and degrees are not accessible to everyone. Why? Because prayer is a dialogue, and a dialogue is created by two. In this dialogue, God is the Principal One. A great deal depends on Him. Our will and openness play an enormous part, but beyond this, His grace is also necessary.
