NOTES for Exo 31:1-18

The detailed instructions about what must be done for the construction of the tabernacle would have been incomplete without today's reading. God does not simply dump a heap of commands on us; He arranges everything so that we can fulfill them. If there is a need to make jewelry of indescribable complexity, to sew garments, and to do carpentry, then there will be people endowed with the necessary knowledge and talents. Thanks to this, the work will be done.

And the main thing in the life of the people, regardless of any circumstances of life or human needs, must always be God. The seventh day, dedicated to God, is a sign of faithfulness to God, a sign that God sanctifies and preserves His people.
