NOTES for Eze 18:1-32

In the mind of ancient people, a person's whole family and descendants bore responsibility for that person's sin. But the prophet proclaims something different to Israel: every person matters to God, and how that person uses freedom will be decisive for that person. Whoever commits sin separates himself from God and His life, while whoever does His will becomes a member of His family.
